Respiratory Protection Training

Respiratory Protection Training - This 2/4-hour program explains and demonstrates the three types ofrespirator training, fit testing, qualitative testing respirators: air purifying, air-line, and self-contained breathing apparatus. Fit testing, use and care procedures for respirators are also discussed. Fit testing is also available. Course Overview

Safety Training Services, Inc. will provide training according to the Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134). The training will explain and demonstrate types of respirators: air-purifying, air-line, and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). The training will illustrate the potential hazards to the lungs resulting from chemical exposure, and show step-by-step procedures for proper selection, fitting, use, and storage of respirators. The program will also review (1) confined space permit entry procedures and (2) respirator maintenance to ensure that participants can determine when a respirator needs repair or cartridges need to be replaced.


Quantitative and Qualitative Fit Testing options are also available.
